Rodrick is Greg's aggressive older brother. The two have a botherly relationship. Mom does everything she learned from teaching Preschool to try to help them get along, which usually fails. Rodrick is the drummer of his band Loded Diper (Greg says it's spelled like that because Rodrick's a bad speller). He is also an expert at loopholes: When he's banned from leaving the house, he just invites the band over.
