Angie was not an actual character in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, but is an additional character in the first film as a photographer for the school newspaper. It was initially believed that she was based on Holly Hills, until it was confirmed otherwise, though Holly did appear in the second movie. She is shown to dislike middle school calling it an intellectual wasteland. Greg first meets her under the benches of the playground surviving the game gladiator. She often gives Greg advice throughout the movie. At the end she was one of two students not afraid of Greg after he got the cheese touch (the other being Rowley). For unknown reasons, she was not in the first film's two sequels, although it may have been because of Chloë Grace Moretz schedule conflicts, an in universe explanation could be that Angie graduated.
